I reviewed all 4 of the Grant books to see if I could find any mentions of interest concerning your gun and unfortunately nothing stands out.
However in the book "More single shot rifles" on page 104 4th paragraph is an interesting reference to the firing pin on modern higher powered primers and cases. You may want to read it and then look at the diameter of the firing pin in your rifle. May be nothing of concern but doesn't hurt to read and think about.
Also the rebounding firing pin on high pressure rounds could cause issues in addition to the steep angle of the pin. Just food for thought.
Frankly, I wish I had your gun and my thoughts above would be my issues. smile Great rifle fore sure!

Thank you all again. Fortunately Tom Rowe is writing a book on Hepburns and we don't live far apart. I took the gun to his place and he now has photos. My rifle will be illustrated in his book. Tom believes that there were only about 25 High Powers built. I'm embarrased to compare my feeble photos to his. Stay tuned....
