I have both silver and gold. In 10 to 12 gauge the gold are a waste of money.

As for spliting cases? Only if the 10 gauge chamber is very large in diameter!

Normally a 12 gauge case will suffer a line bulge due to the split in the Gauge Mate. I load and shoot AA hulls 6 or more times in 10-12 Gauge Mates. The will eventually split where teh line bulge passes through the crimp.

The Silvers need a third of the rim of the Gauge Mate sanded/filed off so that one can easily remove fired cases from the Gauge Mate.
