Tool, or art, art or tool - Rabbit, these are things that keep me up at night. High art, rustic art...Sterlingworths as country art...Sterlingworths as city art! So many things to think about, eh Hopper!

Seen any notable "flatliners" of late, LG? Always on the lookout for Charlins with good case color at "5%". Guess that would be about 850$ woulditnot? Hallowell has one which I guess they will keep forever. Postoak and JC have got me interested in them there Manufrance Ideals also but they're not 5%ers.

Hj - I'm looking at the fit of the stock to the tang - the sides if you will - not surface of the wood grip to top surface of the tang. The lines are a bit wide, uneven, and curves of wood don't fit curves of steel as exactly as I'd expect on the OE gun. Not bad, mind you, but not quite up to snuff, IMO.

Rabbit! What has happened to the provincial man, with the taste for rustic American guns? Pinch yourself, have you gone exotic on us? Have this international fling if you must, and when you've had your fill - come back to the country....Sterlingworth country! Hey! who snatched my 3rd star?

When shooting glasses become loupes, the rigid exactitude of faying surfaces will be the only thing. Until then, if I need watertight joints, I'll caulk em and throw em in the water til they swell tight. Of maybe a tie rod for Sterlingworths.

You will not be sorry with your new Fox! I own one and the fit and finish are right there with the british best! You can shoot modern loads with it, and it is guaranteed for life! The Fox is your gun a true bespoke! Waiting and dreaming are half the fun! I would rather have a american made best gun!
