I'm in need of some parts for a Merkel Model 8. I tried to call GSI to check on availability 2 times and was transferred to voice mail and after 3-4 days still haven't received a reply. Anyone else have an idea of who might have some avaialble? I specifically need the tumbler safety catches and the frontmost screw on the trigger plate. Anyone have some ideas who might have some?

GSI is an exercise in futility. I had the same problem, but with more phone calls and conversations with some very nice people that yielded no results. I ended up buying a used receiver and cannibalizing it. What gauge is your Model 8? I'll dig out the receiver and see what I can do.

It's a 12 gauge. It's the safety catch for the left barrel. Not sure what shape the trigger plate screws are like in your action but if they are in good shap I'd be interested in all of them. other wise I'll have to weld and re-cut the others that I have.

I also need a set of swivels but can get those through Racknagel if i have to.
