Hi guys,
New at this forum thing, so if I screw up, please be patient.
I have an o/u in 16 ga. over 6.5x52r. I have no name. I have proof marks from Austro-Hungarian Empire, Germany and Czechoslavakia. I have Krupp Laufstahl on the barrels. I have my best guess of circa 1931 in Weipert, Czechoslavakia. But, I have no name and my boss wants me to identify it for the purposes of valuation. We are an FFL dealer. What are my options/next step?

Post or email some pics, especially of the flats and area between the flats and forend lug. Sounds like a Austrian or Bohemian combo with components, at least the tubes, from Suhl.
Kind Regards,

Okay. Thanks. I will have to get the boss to help me with that as I am still slowly dragging my dinosauric A-double scribble into the 21st century. Be back soon.

Malvin, Give us photod and/or good description, including bores condition, and you will likely get an estimate.
With kind regards, Jani

And a 16x 6.5x52R combination gun ought to be a very trim and useful iron, if you handload at all.

Bore condition is excellent and I have fired the 6.5X52R and it is very accurate.
Half of the wood is missing from the forearm but all the forearm iron is there and it fastens to the barrels. I need information on where to get a forearm made at the most reasonable price. I need help on how to post photos. Thanks, Malvin

The gun has external hammers and is very trim and fun to shoot. I have found a few sources for 6.5X52R ammo by S&B. The 16 gauge is chambered for 2 and1/2 inch shells.

"6.5x52R is 25-35 Winchester."
I once wrote this here but was vehemently opposed by a member of this board (who doesn't seem to be active anymore). It's true that under CIP standards 6.5x52R is loaded to lower presserus compared to the American version (which was of course the first on the market). I wrote to the CIP Direction in Belgium for an explanation when and why this happened but, predictably, received no answer.
With kind regards, Jani
