After reading this thread (and the thread referenced above) it brought to mind a story that I had read in one of Nash Buckingham's books (can not remember which one as I have and read them all). He told of Col. Harold P. Sheldon (author of the Tranquility Trilogy) visiting him and having brought along his Skimmons & Wood 20 bore double done by a Bob Owens. Just wondering if this would be the same man. Sheldon lived in FairHaven, Vt. and mentioned in his writings about spending a great deal of time working with Owens getting the gun fit to his likings. Anyone having any information on this?? I would like to add it to my reference library.
