Decided to take the dogs for a walk this afternoon. Turned out it was the best kind of exercise. Warmed the body and mind. Not much better than a making a great shot with the first Mdl 21 I ever purchased. And its still my favorite of them all. JW

Great pic. Those Labs are taking the whole thing pretty serious!

I prefer the looks of those plainer early 21s with the "arrow panels" on the receiver. They may not shoot any better than the later ones, but they look more businesslike to me.

Is that a "California" quail next to the phez?

Yes that is a Cali quail. It must have fallen victim to the rig in front of me, and I couldn't pass up a couple of more easy fillets. How redneck is that? JW

OKAY, Road Kill! I too have been known to pull over for a free filet. And yes, it's pretty redneck; take that from a true old redneck.

The Thanksgiving week end has been ok down South here. One son got a doe for the table yesterday morning, another is up at the farm since Turkey day afternoon, and I even got up yesterday morning and passed up 3 does.

The ducks are not thick yet on Ocean Pond, but I did pick up a coupla Ringnecks. The grass carp have done a good enough job cleaning up the lake that half my decoys floated off. I'll have to lengthen the lines before the final season comes in in December.

Fair dove shoot Friday evening and another hopeful one this afternoon. Hunting has been a personal Thanksgiving ritual all my life. You guys can have all my share of the cheap shopping!~...Geo
