I thought Drew might have pictures of the ex-Eightbore, ex-Doug Mann Diamond Grade Lindner Daly two barrel set with one set of outrageous etched barrels, one set of unetched pigeon barrels.

Thanks, Drew. Those are the greatest etched barrels I had ever seen, loved the gun, but couldn't stand the restoration effort required. Doug Mann took the project off my hands and did a wonderful job. It is one of the greatest Lindner Dalys out there.

Wow, that's really sharp. What did it look like when you found it?

You will be pleased to know that the receiver and both sets of barrels are "as found". The restoration involved the reforging of the tangs, restoration of the trigger guard, and the restocking of the gun. I think Doug made new forends, but only to properly match the new stock, not because the old forends were particularly abused. The top tang was ruined in the poorly executed early restock and had to be remade and rewelded. I would love to have Doug post his version of the restoration, which was his project to insure his entry into the American Custom Gunmakers Guild. Bill Murphy
