Chuck don't make me dig out quotes from Burrard, Garwood, and Askins referring to sixteens as small bores. And just cause your wife is grumpy is no excuse to start an argument here. Just go out and kick the neighbor's cat instead.

Quoting a bunch of old dead farts won't make you any younger or a 16ga any smaller. I was gonna bite the neighbor's dog but it got skeered and ran off. grin

Gary only a ground-swatter would think a ten gauge was a suitable bob white gun.

I have seen a 10ga that I would not mind carrying after Mr BobWhite, but Nary a Foe10. The 10 was a Barber & Lefever hammer that I believe had 28" bbls & felt as if it weighed about 7Lb.
Since it seems most everyone around here thinks you can't hit anything with a gun lighter than 6lb anyway I see absolutely no reason for anything less than a 20ga.

I just categorize 10ga through 20ga as shotguns, anything bigger is a Big Bore & anything smaller is a PipSqueak.

I think the game should clearly outweigh the ammo. It just feels better to me. But everybody needs a hobby.
