I had a Wm Evans with a single trigger, and as a Brit contributor here remarked " we never were makers of good single triggers now, were we"
Sometimes my Evans single trigger, a mechanical one, would not reset for the second shot even though it had been checked out by a British gunsmith. I traded it off to a big gunshop for several guns I do use.
However, had I kept that Evans I certainly would have considered a Miller trigger for it.
Good luck, Dan.
Dan, I think that was me, the Brits and the Spaniards have never made good single triggers on side by sides (I think from memory the Boss single trigger has 36 parts !!). There maybe 5 people in the world qualified to work on one that has gone wrong. I donīt have any experience of Miller single triggers, perhaps they work 100% but as some others have stated if you converted a best English double trigger to one of those you have just lost a lot of money. The idea about changing a good Spanish s/s single trigger to a Miller would appeal to me if I used a single trigger on a side by side. I had an AYA No.1 ONCE with a single trigger, never again. You want a single trigger ? Buy an Italian O/U, best, Mike (p.s. the info above was provided by two people, both gunsmiths, both very senior who work at two of the "best makers" in the UK, they are friends, "Weīll make single triggers but we donīt want to"
