PA24 Sidelock Joined: Dec 2008 Posts: 2,292 Utah	To me, the 'bigger question' would be what's on the inside of those lock plates....?..... Pitting anywhere usually indicates an exposure to moisture somewhere in it's lifetime and stored without proper cleaning-oiling.......... Best, Doug
