True there are many of us who do not have military experience but do you realize how many battle hardend veterans are in my area who would assume the leadership roles and tell us what to do?

Given that this is not just some random example, but the real life tragedy affecting the life of a little girl and her family, which includes a member on this site, your use of it here in this context is disgusting. If it were up to me you would be permanently banned.

While I can agree to disagree with many people, thoughful and engaging despite their misguided views, you, nca225, are scum.

Frankly if it were within my power to do so this aberrant idiot(nca225) would be permanently banned from this site. This is one more disgusting example of the depravity of his mind.

No Canvas, the disgusting bit is that there was not one question asked on this board why that that SOB had a gun in his hand in the first place. He clearly was not responsible enough to even hold a firearm. That girl was dressed in her costume at the party, and thus presumably seen by the attendees (and the shooter) well before she got mistaken for a real big skunk and shot by her cousin. WHY DID THAT HAPPEN?

Sure I feel bad for her but I suggest I'm doing more justice for her by pointing out the duel absurdity of first the situation in which she got shot and seemingly ignored by the shooting community and second how it seems that this "responsible" community only gives lip service to the tragedy and buries its head in the ground when faced with the glaring question why did that guy have a gun in his hand at an out door halloween party when he is a prime example of the necessity for gun control because like it or not some people just should not possess firearms like him and hopefully he will never have the opportunity to mistake his cousin for a skunk again. Incidentally do think the shooter should face any ramifications?.

To an objective observer this sure paints a picture of the shooting community as caring more about their guns, then the safety and welfare of their neighbors.

So am I scum for for pointing this out or am I scum for not falling in line and saying "what a tragedy!" while I bury my head in the ground on the obvious question like you and your ilk?

Lot of of pointless filler in there. Anyway, it looks like you're calling for gun advocates to ban guns. Either that or legislate responsibility. Thanks for your contribution to justice. No wonder to me that your 'ilk' is the enemy, not the differing opinion. I don't think you should be banned, good to understand the ilk.

nca225, you said you "wouldn't trust HUNTERS for shit to be capable of soldiering." You went on to say, "Especially the ones that cant (sic) figure our (sic) that a 4 foot skunk is their cousin in a halloween costume."

So because of one tragic situation, it would appear you are painting all hunters with a broad Liberal brush? How would you have determined that the man who shot his cousin was somehow not capable of safe firearm practices? It was very revealing when you said "he is a prime example of the necessity for gun control". Spoken like the true Liberal Anti-gunner I just knew you were.

Do you know the circumstances of this tragic accident? To be sure, he could not have been 100% sure of his target, but you seem to think she was wearing a skunk costume and was standing in the middle of an open yard in broad daylight and that the cousin who mistakenly shot her thought she was the largest skunk in the world. I am not making any excuses for this, but how do you prevent things like this without banning possession of all guns? We already have a lot of gun control measures. Apparently, you want more... a LOT more. Do you even know what her costume was? How would YOU differentiate between who should be allowed to possess a gun and who should not? I'd imagine you'd say only the police and military should be armed, for starters...

Do you even own any guns? Well, I guess that wouldn't matter to you. We have lots of examples of Liberal Democrat Anti-Gunners who are caught with guns. Illinois Democrat Donnie Trotter was the most recent example when he got caught by the TSA on 12/6/12 trying to bring a pistol on an airplane at O'hare Airport.

Then you go on to lambaste us for burying our heads in the sand and ignoring this very tragic situation. Did you happen to notice the thread started by CraigF titled "Prayer Request"? You probably didn't want to even glance at something like that because you are most likely a Liberal Athiest. If you are so very caring and concerned about this tragedy, why did you wait until now to even mention it? The accident happened almost TWO months ago! Ignorant ass-hole that you are, you suggest that the shooting community ignored this situation, and you go on to say that "To an objective observer this sure paints a picture of the shooting community caring more about their guns, then (sic) the safety and welfare of their neighbors." Well I suppose that could be true if the objective observer was doing the observing with their head up their ass like you.

nca225... what does the "nca" stand for? I'm thinking it must be "No Cerebral Activity".

A true sign of mental illness is any gun owner who would vote for an Anti-Gunner like Joe Biden.

-He did that himself when he shot the girl. F#@k up with a firearm you don't get a second chance. And you cant even recognize that simple principle.

Do you know the circumstances of this tragic accident?

-Yes. She was at a family/neighbor halloween party at night. So was the SOB who shot her. Apparently there was another family member with the shooter as well pointing out the target.

-I am surprised you are willing to have a discussion on this.

-She was dressed as a skunk.

How would YOU differentiate between who should be allowed to possess a gun and who should not? I'd imagine you'd say only the police and military should be armed, for starters...

-Thats what elected representatives are for.

Then you go on to lambaste us for burying our heads in the sand and ignoring this very tragic situation.

-No I indicted the group for not talking about the CRIME that happened. YOU JUST THINK OF IT AS AN ACCIDENT.

Did you happen to notice the thread started by CraigF titled "Prayer Request"?

- I did read it. And it was as I said, alot of I hope she gets better and then referring to the incident as an accident. I guess the poor fellow slipped tripped fell and the shot gun went off. He sure didn't intentionally pull the trigger I guess. Only FOXY mentioned gun safety in the thread.

You probably didn't want to even glance at something like that because you are most likely a Liberal Athiest.

-You got me red handed on that one.

If you are so very caring and concerned about this tragedy, why did you wait until now to even mention it? The accident...

-Accident huh? Sure sounds like you believe in accountability for your actions...

I believe the New York City police managed to wound multiple by standers in a recent shootout. I suspect according to nca 225 aka "Numbnuts"** the police shouldn't be armed either. Again IMO this guy should be barred from this forum as he clearly has an "Agenda" that is contrary to everything that we free thinking gun owning citizens believe in.

** "Numbnuts" a term used frequently by R Lee Ermey to describe someone who is too dumb to breathe and too stup[id to understand why it is even necessary

nca225, you may be right about circumstances and the person who pulled the trigger. I don't know. I wasn't there and have read very little. You may even be right about the questions we, the gun community, should have been asking.

However, you didn't ask these questions and near as I can tell you know as little of the factual details as I do.

What you did do was bring it up, as a throw away line, to emphasis some other, unrelated point. You "used" her and the circumstances. Only after I draw that to your attention do you appear with the "morally higher" assessment.

I stand by my original comment. You used it.
