OP TRAKSGUNSMITHING Sidelock Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 38 NEW JERSEY	CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH A MODEL FO THIS GUN. THE SERIAL NUMBER IS 27193 WHICH PUTS IT AROUND 1886-88. IT HAS DOUBLE EJECTORS. IT HAS THE PATENT "WEDGE FAST" ON TOP OF BARREL. THE TOP OF THE RIB SAYS " W.W. GREENER 68 HAYMARKET LONDON WINNER @ LONDON GUN TRIALS 1875,1877,1878 & 1879" OTH SIDES OF THE BREECH HAVE "W.W. GREENER" ENGRAVED IN THEM. THE BARRELS ARE 30" LONG. BEAUTIFUL WOOD, FOREND HAS EBONY TIP. WHEN THE BARRELS ARE HOOKED ONTO BREECH THEY DEPRESS THE SMALL PIN.

The JN Patent 550 being the patent use number.The US patent of 7 June 1881 ? might be more informative, and easier to pin down that Brit patent details.

I ORDERED THE CHICAGO EXHIBITION CATALOG COPY FOR "GREENER" LOOKS EXACT, I BELIEVE THAT PIN STICKING UP ALSO MAKES IT THE FACILE PRINCEPS FROM WHAT I HAVE READ
