A question on this "Iron". In all the old listings, catalogs etc, I have seen on guns using this type of bbl I do not recall ever seeing the term Damascus used, only Twist, London Twist or Best London Twist. Also I believe the P grade Parker used a similar pattern & again was referred to as twist.
I was of the opinion the iron/steel mix in these bbls were Not twisted in the bar prior to wrapping which would be the case in Damasus twist or One-iron Crolle.
My real question though, when you used the term "One Iron Crolle-Twist laminate" are you saying it is really made from two irons, one twisted in the bar & one not? From its apearance this would seem to be a distinct possibility.
