The BP subs are made not to have that easy iignition of true BP so they come under different regs & can be sold wherever smokless is sold. An ordinary "Original style" percussian cap will not always under all circumstances give proper ignition to them I understand. While I have not used them extensively I would expect reliable ignition with modern primers as you would use in a shotshell. If Standard LP primers proved to be inadequate you could always switch to Magnum LP.
While I personally am a tradionalist in MLers I know that a lot of those using the modern non-replica MLers use regular shotshell primers & the BP subs with confidence.
