As with most things Lefever, never say never. I have discussed this with Buck and believe a decent rule of thumb would be that if the triangle keel piece is integral with the top rib, the barrels have not been cut. On the other hand, if the triangle piece under the top rib is separate and soldered in place, the barrels may have been cut. However, I think Lefever collectors may, like GSP Willie, find an occasional Lefever with a triangle keel that is not integral with the top rib, but has not necessarily been cut. Without the integral keel, other factors enter in to deciding if the barrels have been cut, such as length of choke and whether the barrels touch at the muzzle.
