I find it hard to eat my heart out over a Mossberg even if it was a "bit" over $600.

(that oughta keep this thread going for six more pages!)

Actually, an unplugged M12 with 6 shots would be perfect for the discriminating, polite gentleman's home defense weapon. It is not just for our hill brethren who have forsworn pumps for English doubles.

“Your two friends, would they like a serving of lead as well? Grey Lead Poupon?”
Blam, Blam.

Absolutely wonderful! Pump guns are indeed, good for many things.

As for me, I'm drawn to almost any device that is well made and continues to function flawlessly. That a John Blanch double or a well-used M12 has been doing it's job very well and for multiple generations only makes them more treasured in my eyes. New guns can be fabulous as well, but when I walk a grouse trail with a vintage gun, I almost never feel alone.

It is a pretty gun. What are the details (make, gauge, action, etc)?
