I suppose we should further constrain the sight to the: "Juxtaposed Double Guns For Sale Section"
Dodging lions and wasting time.....

IMHO the current for sale section should stay conservative, meaning double guns and closely related items only. For other items a new for sale section could be opened.
With kind regards, Jani

I don't mind the non-sxs stuff for sale, but the exchange of posts is off-putting for me. I do not want to see the negotiation between buyer/seller and I do not care to ever again see the asinine exchange of threats we have witnessed lately.
Why not just list your stuff and provide an email or do the negotiating/bickering by PM. I know this question has come up before and Dave Weber decided to keep the format open for posts, but now'd be a good time to revisit that decision...Geo

One of the more successful forums with a for sale section I'm aware of permits NO DISCUSSION of the item in the For Sale area. All of the correspondence is done via emails and private messages. If a question of general interest comes up the seller can append it and the response to their original ad. Jim

Great to read some legitimate and thoughtful responses. Not surprised a few of the usual cynics surfaced on this one. Civility and observant discussion may bore them soon enough.

This forum IS successful thanks to our fearless leader. He's the boss and if he likes it a certain way that's fine with me and has been for the last 12-13 years that I've been around here. If he wants our advice I'm pretty sure he'll ask for it...which reminds me of a joke that's not appropriate for the more tender sensibilities.

I have several double guns and I talk about them and other guns on this forum. However, I'm a competition skeet shooter and I solicited and found a Beretta 303 from an ophthalmologist on this site. I sent Dave his share plus a 'donation'. I'm very happy with the 303. It's a super nice gun. My question is why should this forbidden? Why can't I solicit a Beretta 303 12 ga when I'm more than welcome and encouraged to discuss my Holland and Holland? And Purdey and Boss?? And my Parker? And my graded Model 21's? And my pigeon, Diana and fighting cock and fox and hound Browning Superposed? And my collector graded Colt firearms?? And , and , and even my Ithaca and Fox Sterlingworth???
Socialism is almost the worst.

The issue I have is watching some of you self-proclaimed "experts" critiquing guns that have been listed for sale. If you have questions about the gun then contact the seller via PM or e-mail, otherwise shut the fuk up and keep your questions/comments/critique to yourself.

Bad manners and poor decorum having nothing to do with the type of items for sale or topic being discussed. The Forum is/has expanded with new sections and I believe the Classified section should expand to include those items and interests. The for sale section should never be a discussion venue to critique the item for sale. Misinformation as to the legal transfer of firearms within a state or from state to state needs to be corrected and the proper procedures understood.
