For smokeless powder/non corrosive weapons cleaning I've been using plain old Hoppe's for more years then I care to remember. If you have a badly fouled weapon the best approach I've found is to get some Hoppe's spread throughout the barrel,plug both ends and let it sit overnight. The gunk will usually brush right out the next day. Jim
