Dennis Earl Smith- aka- "The Stock Doctor" without any reservation-- lovely gun, damn shame the break- was it due to a drop or fall, if I may be so bold? I recall the late Capt. Paul A. Curtis in his "Guns and Gunning" suggesting a POW or semi-pg for a light weight small gauge double gun- the buttstock is smaller in dia. at the wrist, whether a boxlock or a sidelock gun, and so less mass of wood than on a 12 bore- But contact Dennis- and rest assured if it can be repaired, he is "The Man"--if possible, would you be kind enough to share "before and after fotos" of this repair project?
