Nigel Sidelock Joined: Dec 2011 Posts: 82 Is. of Jersey, UK	The terms 'bis' and 'ter' are used, particularly in Europe and particularly in formal documents, to mean 'second' and 'third' . In addition, if an extra item has to be added to a numbered list, e.g. between existing items 15 and 16, the new item would be called 15bis. Again, this is for use in formal documents e.g. law texts.
