Need source for bullets in jacketed form. Is there any info. on loading this particular dia. bullet? I also would like a source for 9.3/72R bullets. Thankyou Pilgrim

.313" converts to 7.95mm. Normally an 8x57 will have a 7.92mm bore or .312". Note this is bore diameter, not groove/bullet diameter. Bullet Diameter will be .318" or .323" if an S-Bore.

Did we ever settle,for sure which chamber you have? If it is 8x57IR(JR) or is it 8x57R/360? Bullet(groove)diameters in the IR,as variable as they are,are usually more consistent than the /360. I would be surprised to find an IR that needed a .313 bullet, but not in the /360. There are several 8.15x46R that I know of with .312-.313 groove dia., and they would use the same or similar barrel as the /360. If you do need .313", then about the best compromise for jacketed bullets would be the .312 bullets intended for .303 British,7.7,7.65, etc. If you need .318, then the above recommended sources are good.The Midway .366 bullets may be for 9.3x62,not 72.

One of my sources for .318 bullets are Hornady 170 gr. .321 dia. Win. 32 Special swagged down thru die (tube with steped hole). One dia. to guide .321 bullet other to swag down. I use arbor press to push thru with guide rod. Any machine shop could make die. My 32 Spec. swagged bullets are accurate and open good at lower vel. I also use Rapine 319195 and 321195 (195 gr.) to mold my own.
