Calgary Bill, Ferlib was bought out by B. Rizzini back around 2004/05 and Ivano Tanfoglio went to work for Battista as head of its custom shop division.
Ivano gave me a tour of the factory a few weeks ago, very impressive. After a low-profile here in the States over the past few years I'd expect to see more out of them.
Ivano is still very active in gunmaking and designs and builds high-end guns under the B. Rizzini name that you rarely see in the States, and also customizes their standard-production guns.
Per the round-body Dakotas, he has also made guns for the British trade, notably Dickson -- in recent years he designed the round-action over/under that never got off the ground and also made the round-body A&Ds that were badged under one of the names Dickson owned (I forget which). He is a very innovative and clever gunmaker, equally adept at with a file at the bench or with a CAD/CAM file.
Hope this helps a bit.
