Hi Gang:
I too was lusting for a RRL in 28 ga. I handled one with a straight stock and it handled very well! I then went home and made a straight stock to try to determine whether or not it was for me. I rushed to the local skeet club where I shot a round of skeet from the low position and I discovered that a straight was not for me! When I shouldered the gun, my right hand felt that it was empty and in the incorrect position. No matter what I did, I could not feel comfortable with straight grip. The straight grip felt great in the store but the truth was that it just felt like I did not have control over the gun.
Oh yes, that RRL 28 ga. is sure a sweet gun to carry and with 1 once loads it should be a great upland gun!.
Try before you buy!
