If you are looking for wood that is not particularly expensive, you might look on Ebay. There are a hell of a lot of blanks - most laughably poor for every reason you can imagine, but there are some really good hidden values out there often. One regular ebay seller is "quaking_aspens". They sell a lot of gun wood and much of it is extremely nice and a prices that I find are quite reasonable or even exceptional.

And you might drop them a note about your particular needs for an MS stock and see what they have to say.

In any event, I recommend ebay, if you have a bit of patience and "quaking_aspens" as one of the better sellers.
