They do say there is nothing new under the sun especially when it comes to recycling.
In the picture is a pair of Balearic Island sandals which I purchased while on holiday on the Island of Ibiza some twenty five years ago. As you can see they are soled with motor vehicle tyre and fitted with tough Chrome leather straps. They originate from the Islands make do and mend culture during and after WWII this pair must have clocked up some twenty thousand miles on my feet, and there is still a few miles in them yet. And now vehicle tyres have found their way on to sporting guns I wonder where they will appear next?!!!


The only lessons in my life I truly did learn from where the ones I paid for!
