Probably made in Dara Adam Khel a while back south of Peshawar about 40 minutes, long famous for its arms manufacture.
There's a story about a Brit in the 19th century who had them make a copy of his Holland and Holland double. Beautiful copy; but later when he showed the guns to the guys at Holland and Holland in England they asked him where the original was....
This was a tale that circulated when I was working in Afghanistan in the 60's; didn't get to Dara to shoot a few of the guns until the mid 90's, however.
Actually, most Afghans do squat to pee...at least the ones on our street in Kabul.
