I imported a gun from England and it was a lot bigger deal than I anticipated. Took about 3 months to get my gun, cost me about $1k and the importer stamped their logo on the barrels of my gun, which I found out later is US law. So....I understand your frustration. There's the import fee and a customs fee and I paid an airport fee too, I believe. I won't be importing any more guns anytime soon. Left a bad taste in my mouth. I think the best way to do it is with someone who imports lots of guns and 'bundles' the guns thus lowering the cost on each individual piece. I would recommend calling Kirby Hoyt of Vintage Doubles. He imports lots of guns and might be able to help you. Good luck.
