Hobie;

It's $30 for a Sterlingworth, $40 for a graded gun.

Yes, there is a charge for the letter, so much for the Sterlingworth, and so much for the graded guns.
What that is, I don't know.

Our American double gun manufacturers all bought the rough tubes from various suppliers, and then made them into barrel sets. Over the years I've seen both Sterlingworth and Chromox Fox barrels with the marks of the various tube suppliers --

LLH is the mark of Lochet Habran of Jurille, Belgium.

Three-lobed crown over a D = Didiere barrel works of St Etienne, France.

The SB&Co. mark = Sanderson Bros. & Co., a Sheifield, England, company that set up a branch in Syracuse, New York. I have found Sanderson Bros. & Company ads in old Syracuse city directories.

Researcher,

So we really are looking at a very international business. Especially when you add Krupp into the mix. I had the LLH, but the other 2 eluded me. Thanks for the info.

If they are there, they are in the bottom of the tubes in the area between the watertable and the forearm loop. In the same general area as the barrel weight number. These markings are very hit or miss as they were often filed off during the barrel striking.

Thank you. I never noticed such marks but will re-examine the gun.

Are Krupp marked barrels on CSMC guns actually made by Krupp? Is Krupp still in business. When I was young, I lived in a house with Krupp marked discharge pipes. Do they have collector value???

Krupp is one of the biggest steel companies in the world, merged with Tysen in the last 20 years. I purchased stainless from them and it was known as KTN
