OP Chicago Sidelock Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 322 Chicago	George: I am no expert on Water Spaniels, but my hunting partner uses a Lab for grouse and woodcock. He does ok with the Lab, but we generally get more birds over my setter and shorthairs. As long as you can keep the dog in gun range I would think you could use the spaniel on grouse and woodcock.
