I think this qualifies as a "Classic Single Barrel Sporting Rifle". Anyway; I found a lot about William Moore but next to nothing about Charles Moore so I thought I would share this oldie. Barrel bears the 77 St. James address so is probably just prior to Woodward's coming on board so Circa 1840/50 (?). Bore is about .70 with eight lands and grooves. The trigger guard seems to bear a bright "oil" finish (?).

I have never dismounted it to inspect proof marks, until now.
