Have you looked at Midwestern schuetzen makers? Although that business ended with World War 1, these rifles are no more than five to ten years newer than that. Perhaps Dutcher's Ballard book in the section on Cusstomized rifles would show similar carving.

I will look in the "Cyclopedia of Monograms" to see if I can decifer the initial on #2 per Eightbore's question.

The carving on #3 is the finest I've seen! Beautiful rifles all, but that one is my favorite.
