On putting 16 Barrels on the a 20 Action, if they measure up correctly I see no issue.

16 is not dead (I believe the statement was a joke) To shoot 16 as a primary gun you really need to reload for it. It has been my primary gauge since I was a kid and remains so. I shoot a 16 for 95% to 99% of my hunting. My back gun is a 16. It is only in the last two years I have put money into a 12 and that is only because it matched my 16.

The perfect wild bird gun is the one you shoot best. Gauge has little to do with it. A good gun is just that. I can find something good about every gauge, I just like 16 best.
