I was searching for a PM on the Shooting Sportsman forum and went to page 3, looking for older messages. Bill Wise was sending me a message telling me about my friend, his son, Ben Wise, shooting ducks at Remington Farms "back in the day", with Rudy Etchen and his 870. Both Ben and Rudy shot 870s both for game, trap, and pigeons. What a message to retrieve from my old friend, Bill. I understand Ben is now down south guiding bird hunters and handling dogs as he is supposed to be doing. To bad he is not up with us in Maryland and Delaware as he had been for a lifetime. Ah, Remington Farms-- where my boys took their hunter safety course back in the '80's while we lived in Chestertown, and the site of the start of the lead shot debacle.

GJZ knows more than I do about where Ben Wise is now employed, but I have been told the same, Ben is in Florida at some facility that is involved with blood sports as he should be. I should contact Rosalie and see how she is doing, but she has family near her and should be doing OK. It is exchanges like this that makes me proud to have as many posts on this forum as I do. The Bill Wise website is still available and should be read by everyone who has heard of Bill on this website. The site has many aspects, all of them interesting.
