I'll have to admit KY Jon is getting too close to the truth for comfort. For the occasional shooter/hunter the 16 gauge is just fine but for those that shoot a lot or those that hunt in remote areas and shoot a lot the 16 gauge is a handicap. But if you have a double why can't you just slip in some Gaugemates and make your double a 20 gauge? And then buy 20 gauge ammo, which you can find everywhere. But, today, for a guy to buy a repeater in 16 gauge, is suicidal.
