You can indeed buy a nice gun for the money.

However, if you want a bespoke gun, starting from scratch is a LOT more expensive than starting with an action like this and ending up with exactly what you want.

This client had very particular stocking requirements (he is very broad and muscular with a thick neck and wide spaced eyes and big chest muscles and biceps). He has never had a gun that fitted.

He also wanted a hammer gun with 32" barrels and screw-in multi chokes.

Even with his budget, nothing on the market met his needs. This was the solution.

It was 100,000 less than a new Purdey I just looked at for a client.
