I've seen worse and I've seen better quality of engraving. It would have been a bit nicer had the engraver finished the dogs feet. The dog is a fair resemblance to the photo. I know nothing about engraving but it seems to me it would take GREAT skill to perfectly reproduce a photo on metal. Your gun is pretty in my opinion and I am glad you like it. Have fun shooting some birds with her.
