The few Lefevers that I have seen needing the adjustment made can be counted on one hand. The number of other makes loose after a hundred years is many times more. I had two which needed a slight turn and slight is the term. One went easy and one not so easy. The hard one was the two point spanner type ball and until I made a tool by grinding a grade 8 bolt into a driver to get the ball moving to it was stuck fast. The repair or adjustment cost almost nothing while making a new hing pin would cost a few hundred. Hard to understand why other makers never used the design.
