So who all is planning to attend? I am automatically assuming Joe (Joe in Charlotte), FlyChamps and Darrell (DGM). How about it eightbore, Rocketman, maybe Jent Mitchell?

Have you seen a list of vendors planning to attend, Darrell?

I'm trying to make a decision. Linda wants to make a pit stop at the beach on the way home, but I haven't figured out the logistics of the guns. I don't want to disappoint Rick, or Stan.

Just bring a few of the nicer pigeon guns, Bill. You can shoot them there, I'll take 'em home with me and keep them safe until next year this time, and I'll bring 'em back to you at next year's. You won't have to worry about keeping them safe at the beach.

The date is bad for Judy and me, Stan, but we sure would like to be there. Please tell Rick we are sorry we won't be there. Always fun and the food is just crazy good.

Eightbore, Linda can go to Pawley's Island which is among the cleaner beaches on the east coast. Even someone like me who hates beaches kind of likes Pawleys.

Sorry ya'll can't make it, John. Was really hoping you could. Do you know if Steve Barnett is coming?

Worst part about it all, for me, is that I will miss a dove shoot to be there. Maybe I can sneak off during the week for a few hours to make up for it.

why would the promoters do it two weeks before the long established vintage cup that's always the last long weekend of September? i know SC is far away from RI but those shooters from MD, VA, WV, etc now have to make a choice which to do that close together. seems like the promoters could have done it in october or move it up to july or august to get it spaced with the other vintage double gun shows. most people have just so much money to spend for travel, hotels etc in a short period. please don't answer and say that october is hunting season. very few hunting seasons last only one weekend, people have plenty of time to hunt.

They have had it in October for years. This is the first time in September. I don't know why Rick and Bill chose that time, but it will be interesting to see whether that affects attendance. While there I will mention to them the potential for conflict and ask their reasoning.

Rick is hosting the SC State championship (sporting clays) in October. Maybe there was a conflict there.

I'm sure Steve Barnett will be there barring any unforeseen circumstances, Stan. I do know his Mom in Atlanta has been low and he has been there for the past week or so.

Rick told me at the Spring Southern that he moved his date up to accommodate the grouse hunters who were complaining the October date imposed on their hunting. Mistake as far as I'm concerned, but it's his show.
