I remember seeing the kits for sale from "Broken Kitty" to install Chevy V8s in Jags. Looked like a lot of fun, and, danger to the points on a guys driving privledges. My 1971 442 went down the road in favor of a much more "polite" 1967 442 (automatic, air, 3:08 gears) that is just more fun for a guy to be in. Left the local Olds clubs show last summer at a few minutes before noon, with the temp at 100 and humidity near tropical, to the sweating envy of the convertable muscle set. Give me an A6 compressor full of R12 over outside air induction any day of the week.

I hope you intend to use the Purdey. I know of at least a few that haven't seen sunlight in a generation.
Best,
Ted
