Need a bit more info like the serial number and some images of the water table & flats, but I would hazard a guess it is a Modell Nr. XVI(E-with ejectors) and possible in the 270xxx range either made in the mid to late 1920s or 1930s.

Also knowing if it has the Purdey nose or not will limit the field. Interesting grain of wood.

Here's what I think to be a 1949 Sauer in the 378xxx range but not the same pin configuration or lock:  The Purdey nose is just another lockup enhancement seen more on Bohemian sporting doubles like this Lovely Lovena Dictator advert - it's a mid standing breech slot for a teat at the breech:  Kind Regards, Raimey rse
