I understand how the t-post works in the butt stock, but how does the sling attach to the leather covered piece that slides on over the barrels ? I can't see any means of attachment for it.

I use a sling that has a similar system for sliding a leather loop over the barrels that tightens as it is slid down toward the f/end, and another leather sliding loop the tightens down over the wrist, but don't like shooting with it in place, as the loop completely encircles the barrels, over the top rib. I only use it for turkey and duck hunting, where I'm toting a bunch of stuff and need both hands free. I just pull it off when I get where I'm going.
