There are many posts on Parker public web site on the assoc. meeting and auction while at Vintage cup but no questions who won the Parker & Fox shoot off and nothing from the parker leaders to congratulate their worthy competitorrs. If the out come was reversed the parker members would be beating the drums and carrying on. It's four days and running now. Not good form, gentlemen. Will this be the new normal for the Southerner? One team or the other wins the Challenge match and the other team's leaders clam up ?

Can't speak to the above Fox vs. Parker shootout; but as a member of the LCSCA, we have always fessed up to our losses in the same manner in which we have posted our rare victories (I think our LC Smith vs. Parker Challenge Event record stands at 4 wins/6 losses; but people only remember the last event, and we did win that one!). As FYI, the LCSCA and PGCA have always observed a certain common courtesy as regards the Challenge Event in that the LCSCA and PGCA have ALWAYS extended letters of congratulations and condolences, as appropriate, to the other on team wins and losses (yours truly is usually the designated letter writer for the LCSCA; and from a personal pride perspective, it's tough writing those congratulatory letters!).

Internet forums are among the most popular venues among some members of collector organizations. We're probably describing two percent of the membership. Some of the organization leadership have absolutely no contact with gun forums. Too bad.

Unmentioned in this thread is that the Lefever Arms Collectors Association also fielded a team in the Vintage Cup collectors' club shoot. As one of the team I can proudly proclaim that, even if we did not have the best shooters, we had the best guns! As a competitive shooter, Uncle Dan may be rolling in his grave, but team Lefever had a very good time!

Lefever men should do there own posting instead of jumping in here. The collector club shoot was in the main event and not connected to subject here. Besides the talk about having the best guns but not shooting them well is old hat. Watch the guns being used at any shooting club. Usually men that talk the most about how good their gun is also say they shoot only for fun. The score board shows that. There is still nothing by Parker powers to be as of today with congrads to Fox competition at least on open part of there site. CB

For the record, To a man, the Parker Gun Collectors Association is very proud to have been beaten at the traps by such worthy opponents as the A.H. Fox Collectors. Many of us share joint memberships and we all consider each and every member as a good friend. This is the first day I have visited this site since the Vintagers and the AHFCA and the PGCA Challenge and would have posted the results sooner had I known the individual scores.
The winners were indeed the A.H. Fox Collectors and their scores are:
Chuck Devinne------- 48 Mike Koneski-------- 45 Frank Srebro-------- 43 Jim Kline----------- 39 Mike Smith---------- 38
Team Parker:
Mal McGregor-------- 45 Dave Wunrow--------- 42 Charles Mallory----- 41 Jeff Kuss----------- 36 Stephen Cobb-------- 35
Final Team Scores:
Team Fox------------ 213 Team Parker--------- 199
Our Hearty Congratulations to some fine shooters!!
