One point in favor of Federal loads is that they are easy to reconise. If you restrict all Federal loads to low pressure loads this will give you a visual check that the load you are shooting is what you expect it to be. When loaded one AA looks like another so if you load low and high pressure loads in the same hull you run the risk of picking up the wrong load and shooting high pressure for low pressure.

Years ago, back when lead was legal I use to load Remington RXP for one duck load, Federal Chgampion for another load and size shot and AA for a third duck load. It was easy to figure out if I had 4's, 5's, or 6's by the color of the hull. If ducks started to come into the decoys real close or started passing by at a decent long range I just changed shells by color. Still missed but atleast I had the right shells in the gun.
