Thank you for confirming what I believed to be true with 16's being built on XX frames. I did not know the same was true for 12's.
8-bore,
I am encouraged by your opinion on the originality. I found the fit to be indicative of that. I agreed with AmarilloMike in my recent post regarding 20ga bore diameter and now you that this piece is rare. I only test fired with snap caps so far. Oh, I fully intend to purchase this as I have agreed to a sale price and will be inspecting in a short time. I hope to find the bores pass inspection. Will show more ASAP.

Are your barrels twist or damascus? I havent determined this one here is 2 or 3 iron. You can see pretty good in the photo is you zoom. What's your serial number range please? Can you measure bore diameter of yours?
