I received an e-mail on Saturday from Whitey Hanson's daughter informing me that Whitey passed away on Thursday the 10th. I will miss him deeply.

Whitey was a really nice man and a real gentleman to the end.You could tell he was having a hard time, but didn't complain.Right up to the end, he was looking for parts for a project.I understand the family is looking for four of his projects that friends were working on for him. If anyone knows anything about these, I'm sure the family would appreciate the information very much.

During the past three years or more, Whitey and I were frequent Email correspondents. I knew that he was suffering from Cancer but seemed to be on the up and up. He'll be sadly missed, it seems his favourite word was smile, it occurred in every Email he wrote to me and in all of his postings to various gun forums. He's one man I'm really going to miss. If there is a hereafter Whitey perhaps we will meet one day. Farewell my friend, it was good to know you.
