In an old thread on the Lefever forum, I believe we identified at least eight different pin spacings in Lefever shotguns. There is no standardization in Lefever frames, even in XX frames. It shouldn't be hard to bring up that Lefever forum thread, but it's a long one. And there are two versions, both with good information. Jeff, early E Grades were as plain as can be with only small bits of scroll around the screws. Yes, the era of the Lefever determines the amount of engraving in the same grade. Bill Murphy
