Possibly, now that the finish is stripped off, he could soak it overnight in acetone (see thread from a few days ago posted by Jerry V Lape http://www.doublegunshop.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=341418#Post341418). Acetone will soak blackened oil out of the wood, it should soak out stain as well. Steve
