Thanks, yes am familar with that type of back action sidelock, & thought that must be what it was. Can't recall actually noticing one before that was engraved so as to give the appearance of a bar action plate. The hammerless Sauer I spoke of actually has the part on the plate where the mainspring would attach on a bar action, but is blank, no screw, hole or anything, but of course the frame bar had to be milled to accept it.
