I did take one end of my basement and make it into a gun room complete with reinforced concrete wall, safe door, metal reinforced ceiling and dummy wall to hide everything. To complete the deception I kept my pen name from when I lived in another state. Alarm systems are in place but any system can be defeated given knowledge of what you are up against and enough time to defeat all the precautions taken. Also not having my kids friends over constantly keeps word of mouth down as much as possible.
